A sort of Japanese Clark Kent, Shinji Masuko is a journalist by day and a rockstar by night. He unleashes his otherworldly persona on stage on not one, but two projects; iconic Osaka experimental rockers Boredoms and DMBQ – an explosive trio in which he displays his encyclopedic musical knowledge. By taking lessons from the greats (Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Deep Purple), he turns out his own wild version of rock ‘n’ roll.
