Via therapeutic frequencies, forest bathing, and binaural sound, Hinako Omori's solo work is more akin to immersive cartography of the mind in ambient tradition than a plain recording. The Yokohama-born, London-based performer's latest output, March's 'a journey...', reflects this. Rather than a tracklist, it has the feel of a stream of consciousness that continues far longer than the last note sung. 'A journey...' is the latest in a long tradition of ambient musicians' quest for the healing properties of sound - one of which Omori is now part of.
